Lake Chini
Malaysia second largest natural lakes, 100km south of Kuantan, Lake Chini is formed by a series of 12 interconnected fresh water lakes. And It’s believed that the lake is full of mysteries and legends. Between August and September the lake surface will be fully covered by pink and white lotus flower. Located also in Pahang is Tasik Cini, Malaysia’s second largest natural lake comprising 13 interconnected fresh water lakes. The entire lake environment is a wetland area. Semi aquatic plants including reeds, ferns, water lilies and pandanus species are plentiful white various tree species are found on the fringes of the lakes. Within the lake are abundant species of fishes. The Tasik Cini area is home to Jakun, an aboriginal tribe. Intending visitors to Tasik Cini may wish to know that only basic accommodation is available here. Activities centre around discovering the richness of wetlands area, along with aboriginal culture.
