Niah Caves
The Niah National Park encompasses 3103 hectares of limestone and forests. Prehistoric paintings and the remains of the artists were found there. Archaeologists also discovered the remains of a prehistoric man in the Great Cave. About two hours drive from Miri or Bintulu in Sarawak, Niah National Park houses one of the world’s largest caves, the Niah Caves. The oldest human burial sites ever found in Southeast Asia were discovered in the Niah Caves in 1958.
