Selangor Beaches and Islands

Selangor’s offerings to island lovers are PuLau Ketam (Crab Island), a little island dominated by fishing activities such as processing of shrimp paste, drying of jelly fish and harvesting crabs from sea farms. Locals take a short boat trip to this island from Port Klang for a seafood feast. Pulau Carey, also a short boat ride away from Port Klang is the island home of the Mah Men aborigine tribe, known for their woodcarvings of figurines of their folklores. They have assimilated into modern life, with jobs in the nearby plantations and farms, but they retain their unique culture and way of life.
